Arjun Singh of Barrackpore finally put an end to the speculation about him. He said on Thursday that he is joining the BJP. But at the same time, Arjun said that he is not alone, another Trinamool leader will join the BJP with him.
Even in Barrackpore, thousands of people will join BJP, Arjun claimed. He also said, "I was on the stage of the brigade. However, I had to hear that I am a BJP MP. Only then I understood the condition of the party!"
Singh plans to kickstart his Lok Sabha campaign from Naihati, offering prayers at the 'Boro Maa' temple before proceeding to Bajrangbali temple, symbolizing a departure from his previous political allegiances.
While Trinamool leader Mamata Banerjee downplayed Singh's departure, labeling him as still an MP of BJP, Singh has firmly affirmed his decision to join the BJP, citing dissatisfaction with Trinamool's leadership and direction.
It is to be noted that Trinamool has declared Partha Bhowmick as the candidate for Barrackpore Lok Sabha constituency. Due to which Arjun's anger against the Trinamool began.
